At the Movies

I was going to write about dinner at Frankies Pizza (a local favorite) but I think 2 days of food posts would be too much ... I think I'm really rebelling against the eating better resolution but I'll tow the line in due time.

Today, I did get a chance to go see the Twilight movie "New Moon".  It's been out since mid November, and I wanted to see it on the big screen so when hubby went off to the junk yard to look for car parts, I took the opportunity to go to the movies.

I just have two words to sum it up .... LOVED IT.  I'm a Team Jacob sort of girl anyway, but I loved how close the movie stayed to the story line of the book.  So often a film adaptation of a book just doesn't do the book justice.  The book is always so much better and often the film takes liberties with the story/plot line.  However, so far, not so with the twilight series of movies.  At the end I found myself saying with Edward "marry me".  I can't wait for the next one in the series.

Twilight Movie

I forgot to report that I did get to see Twilight in the movies.  I saw it while I was in Daytona.  I had hubby drop me off at the theatre while they went to walk around a parking lot and look at and talk cars.

So ... I really loved the movie.  They hit on all the important factors of the book and gave you just enough character development.  It held true to the book which is always a sticking point I have.  It's rare I see a movie after I've read the book because the movie is never as good (but I digress).

Anyway ... loved the movie.  Hit the high points of the book, but would have had to be a much longer movie to really cover everything.  I think they did a great job and I enjoyed it.  I hope they do decide to make movies of the rest of the series.  I for one would see them all.

Who's going to see THE movie

I'll be going - hopefully opening night, but if not Saturday for sure.
